Things to look for in Used 3rd Gen.
hey, i know this might have been talked about before but I had trouble finding a thread about it. What kinds of things should I look for to have been replaced/tuned in a used 3rd generation around 100k miles? There is one on ebay that said it just replace the water pump, crank shaft, and head gasket. Is that normal? Thanks!

Mellamo,
Go the the maintenance section. There is a sticky up top. Run the year and model you are looking for. You can then select the maintenance items by mileage range. Nevertheless, always run a carfax, be wary of vehicles being sold in TX and FL or any other state with lax title laws, buy from a person who is the only owner, and has service records to boot.
Off the top of my head, the big thing you need to have changed is the timing belt, water pump, the thermostat and the drive belts. My service cost $510 here in LA, CA.
