Thermalweld Head Gasket Fix

Has anyone heard of this "treatment"? Do you think it is a viable solution for a head gasket leak, or is it likely to mess up you radiator, water pump etc?

FAQ's

What if ThermalWeld fails to repair a vehicle? Since failures occur in about 20% of the applications, Thermalweld has developed a policy that is both fair to the customer and the technician. The customer is charged nothing if ThermalWeld does not perform to the customer's satisfaction. If the treatment fails during the warranty period, the customer receives a free re-treatment. If re-treatment fails, then the vehicle head gasket is beyond ThermalWeld's capability to repair the head gasket, and the customer receives a 100% refund on the cost of the treatment.

Can ThermalWeld damage a Vehicle? Thermalweld is intended for use in vehicle cooling systems only. Vehicle cooling systems include the radiator, water pump, thermostat, radiator cap, and connecting hoses. ThermalWeld will not damage the water pump or clog the radiator.
This is obviously a cheap fix. But if you just have to get the vehicle running again, it might be worth it. I wouldn't trust it, nor would I want to drive any long distances with a time bomb under the hood. My .02.

Google is fun...

It turned up a number of shops advertising that they do the work, but it also turned up this:

It's nothing more than an opinion really...

Sure are a lot of folks talking about it though.

It's all just a band-aid fix, your better off tearing it down and replacing the head gasket....
