test drove 1999

hey, i test drove a 1999 4runner sport edition the other day, and it seemed to have no pickup at all. My friend has a 1998 and his seems much faster, and so does my 4cyl CR-V!!! Could it just need a tune up, or are 1999 slow for some reason? :wtf:

My 99 Taco has plenty of power, it can

a second gen with a 3.slow.
