well i just got a owners manual off ebay for my 1996 4runner. While flipping through it i noticied a "temporary rear seat" its somwhat similar to jump seats found in the landcruisers, does anyone have or seen a seat like this? if you have your owners manual handy try looking up temporary third seat, i wouldnt mind haveing them.

This subject used to pop up a few times many moons ago. Yes, there was an optional 3rd row of seats but from the few that did have them, most sold it off because when it was in you can't carry any cargo at all. Do a search and you'll find some info on it.

at first reading this thread, i thought; damn i soooo need that.... but then i realized that i cant remember the last time i had the passenger seats even flipped up. The dogs like the back down and I wouldnt need the exta seating... but i still think it woudl be cool cause its like the land rovers.
