Temporary fuel pressure metering?
In my quest for what gauges I wanna run, I'm realizing that I really only want to spot-check fuel pressure once and not give up a meter spot for it. Especially to drop the $$$ on an electric gauge.
Any ideas on if this Snap-On clip-on will work on the 3.4L ? Is there a test port on our fuel rails?
I think I can get one used for about $100... so my thought is to buy it, use it, then turn it back out on the used market.

I added a shared fuel/air pressure gauge on my '85. I used a pair of 100 psi senders feeding one guage via a switch. I drilled and tapped the fuel rail and soldered in a brass pipe elbow to fit the sender in place. The air sender is in my on-board air system and I share a gauge on my a-pillar pod:

Hmmm... that's not a bad idea Roger. I run my air system at 150psi, but the concept is interesting.
My original intent was to run 2 dual Westach gauges (AFR, FP, Boost, EGT) in a 2 place A-pillar pod. Westach makes a AFR/EGT combo, but not a Vacuum/100psi pressure combo. That got me to thinking about if I really needed a fulltime FP gauge.
btw, your page doesn't mention who made the 3-pod pillar mount. Are they still making them? I wonder how close the fit would be in a 3rd gen...

The gauge housing is a semi-custom design that fellow wheeler Jeff Moskovitz had fabricated. Cost is less than $60 including shipping. Feel free to consult the A-pillar FAQ page at:
