Talk some sense into me guys....tires...

Well my X Radial LT, 6ply Michellins are down to about 1/32" of tread left. I need new tires. They are the best, hands down, on road tire I have ever owned.

I drive to sam's to check out replacements. There lays 4 tires identical to mine installed price is 475 or so. (103 per tire plus all the normal bs that jacks up the price.) (50,000 mile tires too.)

I look about 10' further down the rack and see the BEAUTIFUL BF Goodwrench AT K/O in the same size and ply rating. (you know the KO all terrains) for 20 bux LESS installed that these onroad tires i have now.

Which should I get? I go off roading about 5 (or less) days of the year, so they wouldn't see too much off road action...my conservative side keeps saying get the road tire....but damn my yota would look dead sexy with those KO's...

Get the BFGs and make it a point to go off road a little more often.
Seriously though, I don't go offroad much either. 5-6 times last summer I drive the family to Greenwater and explore some new forest roads. I take the runner skiing in winter so snow traction is important to me. If I were in your spot, I'd buy the BFGs.

I'd like to go offroad more and may go on a group trip this summer if someone has one that is geared toward stock trucks (Hint Hint).

I got 45K out of both of the sets of BFG AT's I've had. I'm sure the Michelin is a great tire, but I'm a dyed in the wool BFG man at this point...

BFG's man! Everytime you get in your truck you'll wish you could go off-roading more and maybe they will motivate you to...atleast it will LOOK like you do!

Gotta plug my bridgestone dueler a/t revos.. Usually can be gotten cheaper than the BFG's, and in my opinion, better all around. Check out the many threads on them... (and there's one where to find them cheapest)

I say you can't go wrong with the Revos or the BFG's but Revos are quickly becomming the hot item to have.

Just remember the more aggressive AT tire will decrease your mileage by 2 to 4mpg.....
