Tacomas near Addison IL- FREEBIE!
Anybody with a stock 2003/2004 Tacoma, with or without TRD package, 4 or 6 cylinder, MUST BE 4WD.
KYB in Addison, IL is looking to perform fit tests of their shock absorbers on these models. This is a freebie, people. It will involve them paying for the shocks, the installation, and performing follow-up inspections at regular intervals to check for wear. PM me to learn who to get a hold of ( I don't want them swamped with a hundred people calling about these all at once).

Apparently the changes in the piston valving (dictated by Toyota) are the important aspect here, not so much the fit of the shock absorber body. They want some real world feedback. Lemme tell you, I had the KYB Monomax big-bore monotube shocks all around on my 2K Tacoma, and they were brutal! I mean, my kidneys hurt driving down the highway bouncing around in there. I liked it!
Plus, since KYB is a premium ride control manufacturer, they often make updates to their products year by year, when other manufacturers will cheap out and make one particular part number that covers a whole decade of vehicles.
