Tacoma Stock OEM Alloy Rim Cleaning

Guys,

What is the best way to clean/polish/wax these Toyota Stock OEM Allow Rims? Mine have what looks to be some oxidation or brake dust residue that doesnt come off with the normal wheel spray cleaners. What are you guys using to get them back to showroom shine?

Here's a pic of the rim style:

Thx

I use Purple Power Dust Off wheel cleaner and I've had no issues with any brake dust residue left behind;I just spray it on,let it soak a minute or two and spray off and mine look new.

If your wheels are really bad then you might need a hands on cleaning but then give PP a try to keep them that way.

the BEST way ever is aluminum acid (refrigeration acid) you can get it at appliance stores its used to clean the fins on AC units and such spray it on wait 30 seconds rinse off done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no pleas enote USE GLOVES it will burn your hands it DOESNT eat paint if rinsed quickly so... its the ONLY thing that works well without having to scrubb the little areas

Eagle one makes a etching wheel cleaner, you do need to brush it. Once you get them clean then just use a good wheel cleaner. The etching cleaner after awhile will eat the clear off parts that are clear

I'd be careful using harsh stuff on the alloys.

I would dilute simple green if it's the concentrated formula. I found that it etched my once shiny aluminum air chamber in my 3.0.
