Well, I decided. Im going to start looking for a tacoma preferably v-6 5-speed extended cab around 95-97 (thats all i can afford) Are there any problems associated with these particular years of trucks? Also is anybody here running about 2in of lift and 32's with stock gearing on a v-6?

There was a head gasket issue that I think they resolved around 98. I do believe they went with upgraded rear axle seals around 99. Other than that no problems.

thanks man, have you heard anything about 32's and stock gearing?

The TRD Taco comes with 31's stock. I don't think a one up tire size would make much difference.

i have a non trd with a revtek lift and 32X12.5's right now,

its gearing is awsome i guess, i dont notice the 32's, still "pulls stumps" and whatnot.
