Tacoma fuel gauge issue

I just recently had to replace my speedo cable (97 Taco v6 4wd 5-speed) and during the process I decided to take the gauge cluster apart and just clean it out and get the dust out and what not. I also lubricated the hole where the cable goes into in the back of the cluster. Also during the process a just felt all the needles and made sure the were moving freely and everything. Got everything back together and the new cable is working great, I go and fill up my tank and the fuel gauge is reading "full" but the needle has gone much higher up than is used to. Is this because I moved it around a little while cleaning it? I dont know if these had be re-calibrated or something? I found a thread on how some 4Runners have had to be, but I dont think this process works on my year.

I was thinking about just filling it up and then opening the cluster up again and just moving it back to where it should be. Bad/Good idea?

Here are some pics of where mine is reading at. The first is where it goes now when it is full the second is where is used to go up to when it was full. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
