Question Tacoma Coilover Suspension Options

First of all great site and tons of info, yes, I found the search button.

My question is this; what are my coilover options for my 97 tacoma? I'm looking for 3inchs of lift and found this link to toytechlifts.com

if you scroll down you will see the ToyTec Adjustable Front coil over shocks, gosh their purdy
http://www.toyteclifts.com/96024runn...rfrontliftopts

I also stumbled across tundra coils but I'm leary of that because it must be harsh because of difference is spring rate.

Lastly what to do about the rear of the taco, it's obviously leaf sprung but I don't like the idea of putting blocks inbetween the leaf pack and axle. So any reccomendations for what type of lear spring and proper shock I should get would be awsome, as always thanks in advance

For the rear you want www.alcanspring.com or www.deaverspring.com

For the front, MANY run Tundra coils and are completely satisfied. They will give you 2.5~" of lift (the most you should have anyway).
As with any modified suspension on any vehicle, most say they ride great, others don't.

Coilovers: If your cash flow is adequate, then Donahoe's are highly preferred. They are rebuildable, revalveable, and have a lifetime warranty.
But others have been happy with Toytech, King, SAW, Camburg, All-Pro, Downey, Fabtech....

thanks for the replys, so rocket buy saying that I "shouldn't" go over 2.5 inches is this do to changing the suspension geometry and/or because I will need a diff drop. because 3inches of lift = toasted cvs. I"m used to u joints but then again they are even more sensitve to sever drive line angles

I'm mechanicly inclined, and have full air tools, welder, plasma, torch....anyone want to sponsor a buggy....lol

I'll do some more searching on diff drop

here is a link to the donaho link
