Tacoma CEL light and stalling
Well, my 99 Taco has been giving me a CEL light on and off for the past couple weeks. I wasn't in any hurry to get it checked out right away since the engine seemed to run fine and the CEL never stayed on for more than a day.
Well, it came on again today and when I came to a stop at an intersection, I went to accelerate and nothing. It didn't sputter or anything, just flat out stalled. I put the auto tranny into park, turned the key, and she started up just fine.
Weird thing is, the CEL went away after I started it up again.
The CEL hasn't been on since (happened this morning) and I haven't been able to get the code pulled since the damn code-puller at autozone has been checked out all day.
I'm thinking it's some sort of sensor, since it only happened with the CEL on and the light comes on and off periodically.
Any ideas?
btw the truck has 80,000 miles on it.

Well, I still couldn't get ahold of the code-puller so I went ahead and took it to the dealer.
Turns out it's my TPS sensor, and it needs to be replaced. Luckily, it'll be covered under my extended warranty though.
They also added that my brake fluid was filthy and recommended a flush :pat:
Oh well, no biggie, I get her back tomorrow.
