Taco TRD axle q's....ASAP

I've been offered a Taco rear axle with e-locker that has broken gears.

What is the overall width, and spring perch width?

Looking to put into son's 85, and we are going to look/get after work tonight

I think they are about 61 WMS. They are definetly wider than the earlier years.

I know that the Taco frame width is also wider than the earlier years so the spring perches will most likely need to be re-welded.

Sorry I cant give you any other iformation, but, it sounds like it would be worth it: Extra width and a Toy elocker on the 85!

Looks like the spring perches are about the same

85 toy = approx 39.5"

2000 taco = approx 39.5"

Hmm, put some spacers on the front solid axle and be able to run late (IFS) wheels
