Sway Bar Bushings Problem

So I just got the poly sway bar bushing kit from wheelers offroad, and I can't tell what nuts are welded to the bracket. Are there any write-ups on how to do it?

I just did this mod as well as a whole new steering rack and poly bushings for it. on my 96, both the bolts for the U bracket had to be removed from the top (PITA!!) one will come off as just a nut, the other will be the whole bolt.

The rear of the bracket has the welded nut and takes a bolt. The front of the bracket has the stud welded to it and takes a nut. It is a Class A PITA to get off if you have been in the salt zone for ten years; I broke the stud off one and had to replace the bracket. You need a deep socket to go over the stud (10 or 12mm I don't remember which), and the ratchet or breaker can't be too long or too short. Just no way to use a flat wrench. PB the night before and like Ned said, you do them all from the top. Left and Right are different, there is an L and an R on the belly of the bracket if you get them mixed up.

On assembly, the split in the bushing faces front, and both front and back torque to 19 ft-lbs., if you have a torque wrench that fits. I didn't. Don't forget the anti-seize for the next poor slob that has to do it; it might be you. I used Toyota bushings so I can't say anything about the poly. That's pretty much it.

Final thought--check your end links. One of mine broke shortly after the bushing swap. I think the stiffer bushings did in the fatigued salt-eaten end link. So I did both of those. Easier than the bushings.
