swapping throttle body

swapping throttle body

will a throttle body from a similar year 4runner (98) with an AUTO trans mission fit my 4runner(97) MANUEL. my throttle body has an unused bracket for the auto trans cable. will on off an auto fit

I would think so,I do not think the cam linkage for the trans cable would be in the way.

IDK the answer, but why are you swapping throttle bodies?

well the springs in mine have lost their spring and will not close the butterfly completely . i hooed an extra spring on it and it works now. but it makes the thorttle really firm. i cleaned my throttle body today, and oiled the hinges on the butterfly vlve but it will still not close, thus causeing the truck to idle around 1500- 2000
