Suspenson Question... AGAIN
I know that there have been many, many threads about suspension lifts, but Ive got to run by everyone the current decision that i need to make...
I am looking to run 33's, and my original plan was to get a 1" RB Body Lift, Crank my Torsions and get some 2.5" coil spacers. The things I didnt think about were : Id need to get new coils for those spacers, because my current ones are sagging (Or just get longer coils), and Id need to get new Torsion Bars.. and new shocks all around my truck.
Torsion Bars: 325
Coil Spacers: 150
BL: 120
Shocks: 240
*Coils: 200
For a total of $1035
**Note, this is all in canadian dollars, and being bought from a Canadian 4x4 shop... except for the BL
My OTHER plan, which I am now strongly considering is going with a 4" Trailmaster Susp. Lift on the front, and rear coils/coil spacers in the rear. Im sure everyone at this point is going to say.." Go with a SAS, you'll be much happier", but the IFS lift that I am probably getting is used, and im buying it for around $300...
Coil Spacers: 150
Shocks: 240
Coils: 200
Trailmaster 4" lift: 300
For a total of $890
So for cheaper, and probably more reliable (Rather than relying on my T-Bars for a small 1" front lift, and a BL on my somewhat rusty body.. I can get a full suspension lift.
Now the question... what would you guys do? Would you go with the IFS lift, or the other lift? I need to ask opinions of other people cause I have no clue at all...
ALSO, are new torsion bars needed with the IFS lift, or do new ones come in the kit?
Hopefully I can get a good answer from you guys..
Thanks,
Dan

I would go with option #2. Its cheaper and you won't have to crank your torsions at all either. Also you don't need new torsions with a drop bracket lift and I am pretty sure that the kits out don't come with new ones either.
