Suspension options

Hey guys - first post

OK, so here's my 4Runner:

It's bone stock right now, but I'm trying to plan some mods. I want to lift, mainly for aesthetic reasons.

So my question is (I've searched, but there's almost too much information to sift through), what are my options. I've been considering the 1" body lift spacers from Roger Brown because they're easy and cheap to install. Going with this option, what size tire would I be able to fit?

So what about a coil-over option? What's the deal with these? I know it's kinda a noob question :pat: , but how do they work? What's involved with these lifts?

Hope you guys can put up with another "what kind of lift do I need" thread.. but just one more please???

Take a look at Steve's Lift Options page. He has the different set-ups he has tried listed with the amount of lift he gained and the approximate prices for the components.

You are right, there is a lot of reading involved but, I suggest taking the time to look through the threads. There is a bunch of valuable information buried here. Like you said, there have been a lot of lift questions asked. Because of this the people that respond to this thread may not get into the amount of detail you might be looking for.

BTW, welcome to the boards.
