Are you around any other Yotatechers? If you host a wrenchathon and provide food and refreshments I'm sure some people would be happy to help you with the work.

Think how much it could reasonably cost, then multiply by 4. A local shop wanted $250 a side, + $100 for the difficulty of doing the front just to put my cornfeds on. What a crock. Got a yotatecher to to help. It was a chore, but fun. Fun-ish rather. I still need to send him a donation for his motor swap project come to think of it.

I agree with the other guys, see if there's someone close to help you with it. I'm a firm believer in doin it yourself, expecially if you haven't done it before. Its always a good idea to have some help around too. I did mine with a good buddy, and neither of us had ever done it before (we mainly build hotrods). It was a great learning experience about the truck, plus if you do it, you know all the weak spots and what was jimmy-jammed together. If you have a shop do it they could screw something up and you'd never know about it until you went to work on it and fix something simple like a ball joint, and find out the treads were all jacked up. But seriously, you do learn a lot about your turck, how its built, and how to fix it, which can come in handy on a trail if you break something. I say get some help and tackle it yourself. Time frame, it too me and my buddy a week from start to finish to do the lift, rims, tires, alignment, suspension, brakes, steering, and some other misc. stuff.
