i went in for alignment today after i just my new dunlop mud rovers...... so they go to align it and come back and tell me a few things... keep in mind i dont really know ˟˟˟˟ about truck's suspension setup yet whatsoever....(former honda/acura car owner) anyhow....... they say they cannot align it perfectly becuase its basically "loose" they told me a need a new center steering link becuase there is a design flaw in my total chaos suspension where when under load the control arm raises up and hit the center steering link, which cause it to get bent or broken or whatever.... anyways they said i need a new one of those and then like bigger bumstops to eliminate the travel so that it wont hit again when off road......... they also told me i need a new right outer tie rod end, and then front wheel bearings on both sides.... the price were for parts only - 214$ for the center link, 54$ for the tie rod, and 8$ each for the wheel seals...... does all this sound correct? do i need to fix this all in order to not wear out my new tires unevenly.... some please help i have no money i just dont want my tires to wear uneven on me already... any help would be great thank you - steve

They may be right. I don't mean to shed doubts on Total Chaos, don't know their products or their rep. But it's entirely possible something engineered by an aftermarket company isn't perfect. Before I get all worked up over it I would share the info with TotalChaos, and maybe get a second opinion from another alignment shop too.

yea i will get a 2nd opinion soon and i dotn think i can really do anything with total chaos cause i bought the truck used and i dont have receipts or anything showing that i actually purchased the kit.... i just found out today that was the kit i had... before i just knew it was lifted lol but didnt know how or what kind of kit....the flaw can be fixed with the bigger bumpstops they told.... this place is called Inland Trucks, they are a toyota specialist and even make there own kits, so im thinking they know what they are talking about just wondering if i really need all that ˟˟˟˟ in order to get a perfect straight alignment and keep my tires from wearing uneven...

What year truck, and how much lift? How many miles on rig? I only saw seals for the front bearings....are they only going to repack them?

Sounds like the bumpstops are the problem, not the TC stuff, since if yours were sized right then the other parts wouldn't have gotten hit/bent. I'd contact TotalChaos and see what they recommend as it is their equipment before I gave the stealership any of my money. Your tires won't wear out in the time it takes to figure something out with TC.

I went in for a alignement the other day and ended up haveing to replace 3 out of the 4 tie rods. I dont know how the 2 inners got bent. and the outer ball and socket broke on one. It sucks because I wasnt expecting those extra cost after I just paid for tires and alignement.

yea im sorry its just the seals for the front bearings that need to be replaced, the part is 8$ each side....the truck is a 1994 and it has like 2 inch bodylift so im guessing the total chaos gave it another 3-4 inches cause its total like a 4-5" lift now after some sagging tho...anybody know of a scrap yard for toyotas in southern california? or cebby if you could pick one up for me for 25$ and ship it out i would gladly pay the shipping charges to you and 5$ for lunch ....... the tie rod i can get somewhere and do myself for 53$..... but is every one of these 4 things NECESSARY for proper alignment? thats what im trying to exactly find out
