Sun/Moonroof

Anyone ever have to replace one? I sold my '94 to my sister and my brother in law took a softball in the roof one fine Sunday. I can get one form a junkie kinda cheap but are they hard to put in?

Hard, no. Tedious and time consuming, yes.

I would assume it requires taking the headliner out.

Yea... I did it in my 96, so I would assume the process is similar. You've gotta remove the sun visors, rear view mirror, and the oh chit handles. Then you've gotta drop all the pilars, as well as the plastic "trim molding" that runs around the end of the headliner. Then drop the headliner - getting the sun roof out from there isnt' a big deal - it's just awkward and kind of heavy.

FYI... When I did it... I broke/bent a few of the clips that hold the "trim molding" in place, and broke both fasteners that hold the headliner in place. You may want to buy spares ahead of time... or not, it's not a huge deal either way.
