I am trying to make up my mind on which to order, the 15* or 30*, i really want the 30* but i think my much shorter wife might find the 15* more user friendly. Anyway, i wanted to get some pictures of each installed, i have looked at his site but due to the angle of a lot of the pics you can't tell which is which. so, if you have richard's slider's installed post a pic and say which version you have!

yeah, i wish stubbs would create something in between 15 and 30 degrees. but i'm very happy w/ 15 degrees b/c it really is a usable step. my wife still says she likes the old (sold) xterra step tubes better b/c it was a nice, wide step but she knows that "i need my toys"

the grip tape is great too. highly recommended, esp if you live in a wet climate.

related to your future cb install, look at waskilly's site too. he actually installed the plug in part in the bottom part of the radio fascia. looks clean and is a good use of that useless space!

Here's a few pics of my 15* that I put on a couple months ago (GRNTACO helped me weld them on) I asked Richard to add about an inch or so to the supports, such that the sliders are now pretty much flush w/ my fender flares. You can see it in the closeups.

They did quite well on the Naches run a couple weeks after installing them.

Hi I just purchased a set of Stubbs, sliderslooking for some one to weld them in San Diego, any suggustions? but my main question is where did you get the frt mud guards on your SR5's, I took off my running boards and the dealer told me there are no specific mud guards for the SR5 flares (only for no flares and limited flares) yet you guys have them, maybe I could get the part numbers? BTW mine's a 99 4Runner SR5 4x4 Highlander

i got my mudflaps at the dealer, i think they are from the Tacomas, i cant remember the part number, hopfuly someone will chime in with the part number, they was only about $20

I have the 15* stubbs.... Meant to order 30* versions... but I thought it was "from the body 15*", not "from the ground 15*" Ive learned to live with it.

bob; You dont wear shorts, do you ?

If I had grip tape on mine, my calfs would be annoyingly chafed on a daily basis. The 15* stubbs stick out just enough that my legs drag across them getting in and out. Something to think about before anyone goes crazy with the grip tape

On a related note.. I just ordered Stubbs' Sliders in the 15* variation. My thinking was that it would be VERY helpful during the loading/unloading of the roof rack because I'm not exactly tall! :pat:

yup, i wear shorts! the 1" is a perfect width whereby if you do slide off your seat and onto the ground, 99.5% of the time you don't get chafed. Now that's not to say that I haven't chafed myself but that's b/c I lost my footing through carelessness.

for the others: front mudflaps: look on jalaber's website and he has the part #s.

Here's the part # for the mudflaps. I bought these a while back so just check with the dealer for prices.
Toyota part numbers:
00547-35966DF (driver side)
00547-35961PF (passenger side)

I've been trying to decide this too... I think I'll be getting the 15* ones too. I'm not that tall, so I think the 30* would be a bit much for me. Does it really make much difference when wheeling? I wouldn't think so...
