"Stubbie" Am/FM Antenna

Anybody buy/use these.

They are sold in performance products catalog.

When I mount my highband radio antenna in my hood channel, I would like my AM/FM antenna to be the same height, and black. This may be the answer...

Does it just screw on the Toyota antenna fitting, I know mine screws off exposing male threads so I would assume they are machined with the appropriate female threads.

Seems like a good deal for $18, and thoughts?

You mean one of these?

I had one of them and the reception was identical.

I got one, id post a pic but my computer is being stupid. I got mine of ebay, it was like 15 bucks or somthing like that. It gets good reception and doesnt get ripped off by trees. It made out of a hard plastic/rubber.

The ones in Perf. Products are billet aluminum, I also like the flexable rubber kind, but don't want to replece the antenna base, unless its real easy?

Not hard at all... in fact one of my first mods before I found this site. Don't need a write-up or anything, it comes with all the necessary parts and instructions. All you'll need is a wrench.
