stock springs lifted my truck

I own a 92 toy reg cab 4x4 and just replaced the rear stock springs(one had a broken leaf)with new stock springs bought from a junk yard that also sells new springs.I matched up the old one after taking it off and it seemed to be the same height when comparing side by side.I marked on my rear bumper on both sides the height 26". After installing ,new measurment...28.1/2".jumped up and down on bumper, still the same. Took for a ride ,still 28 1/2".Ok ,not that I'm complaning but do you think the oringinal's sagged that much over the years? The truck has a noticable rake now. They only sell stock height springs there by the way.Any commonts welcome.

86Toyota,
All I can offer is that I also have a 92' Toyota and theres exactly 14 1/4" between the top of my rim and the fender well on the front end, and 12 1/4" doing the same measurement to the rear end of my truck and thats my stock old sagging springs. I know because I just picked up my new springs from Alcan today - they were supposed to of made up a new spring pack to lift me up 2-3" from the stock height so I'd be level with the front. When I put them on this afternoon and dropped my truck down, I was exactly 2" lower in the back still - I WAS FRIGGIN' PISSED BIG TIME !!!!!! :wtf: Called them on the phone and they had already closed for the day and their not open on Saturdays. It was all I could do not to load them back up drive across town and throw them thru their front window! And I had to wait TWO FRIGGIN' WEEKS for them to make them up. I'M SO PISSED I COULD SPIT BULLETS !!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I know thats not much help. I gotta go make me a STIFF drink Wild Turkey so I can calm down.

Consider yourself lucky, at least you didn't have to pay $390. plus tax for springs that weren't what you ordered! I guess on Monday I'll get to find out just how concerned they are about keeping their customers satisfied.
