Sticky Gas Pedal

My 96 Tacoma has a problem with the gas pedal, when i first go to give it gas the pedal seems like it stuck with double sided tape to the firewall and when i first get it to give and come out of idle it feels fine. When i put light pressure on it nothing seems to happen and as i slowly increase the pedal will unstick and shoot me out to about 1500 RPM. Any advice on how to fix this? Lube points??

Sounds like your throttle body needs a good cleaning.

Simple test:

Open your hood, and turn the accelerator piece by hand. If it sticks, you need to clean the TB. If it doesn't, disconnect the throttle cable, and see if that moves freely. It will be one or the other, so its pretty easy to figure out.
