Step by step intructions for retro-fitting 99-02 front bumper on 96-98 4Runner?

I know this has been done in the past by a few people and it's not that bad.

Anyone care to share their experiences?

A friend of mine is doing this and needs help, or at least needs to know what he has to tell his dealer to do.

I wish it was that easy. If I remember, I thought there had to be a little welding/cutting to make it line up with the factory brackets on 96-98?

Jason,
Try pm'ing dbikeman here on the forum. I sold my 99 bumper to him and he had it mount on his 98 a year ago. Also, zubaltec did this mod awhile back. Hope this helps.

Exactly what I was going to say.
But dbikeman went to a 99+ bumper and Zubaltec went to a 96-98 bumper
