Question Steering wheel play

Just put on BFGoodrich LTs and replaced the Idler arm, no biggy, but I noticed (actually the wife noticed it) that there is still some play in the steering. She refuses to drive it, (actually a good thing ) but I'm wondering what else could be causing the play?!?

Any thoughts???

Pitman arms, tie rods, center link...

If those items are the ones that came with the truck, you should replace them. Also, check the strut rod bushings, control arm bushings, etc for cracking, and other signs of wear.

Hope this helps.

Mine is the same way. I have to re-build my Idler and replace- pitman, inner/outer tie-rod ends.
