SS Brake Lines

Hey guys,
Did a search and found the AOR SS Brake lines and then found their site but they only have a kit up to the 2nd gen. I know they work with the 3rd gens but was wondering what I need to order. I would figure it out myself but I'm in a bit of a hurry today to get everything set for my mechanic to do while I'm on a trip otherwise I'd do it myself. Anyway, here is their site. I just need to know which ones I need for my 3rd gen.

First go look and see if you've got banjo fittings (or not - apparently its fairly even split - no matter the year).

Decide if you want any extra length (for a lift).

Now call the phone number on the website. I don't remember if I asked why third gens weren't listed on the website. It may be due to the banjo fitting issue.

there aren't any banjos on ours. it's male/male I think, either that or it's male/femle, I forgot. That's a good price though, 24 bucks, if I'm reading the site right.

Oh so that kit will work? I just have to make sure I have the right fittings?

just make sure you get the right "ends" yep. I actually bought the banjo'd ones in a procomp kit when I first did my lift about 2.5 years ago but only the rear worked. so I gave the two fronts to my buddy that has a '98 taco since those are the banjo ones. you haven't extended your rear yet? The 2nd gen kit I don't know if it will work. whether it's got M/M or M/F or F/F doesn't matter since you should be able to buy gender changers with it since AOR looks like they sell them too. If it weren't colder than a witches titty I'd run down and look to see what ends are needed but...

Check out Wheelers Offroad, they sell front and rear brake Lines for Stock Height to 2.5" Lift (95.5-02 4Runners).

I really want to say my 97 cables were F (and the truck / calipers were M).

But the wheelers pic would be opposite (i'd go with the pic)

Not to drive business away, but my AOR lines aren't DOT stamped.

Well,
Its going to be my shop ordering them if I need them and I just want to have a place for them to order from if they don't have anywhere to get SS lines. So that would be the best. Also some piece of mine in knowing they are ordering the correct thing.

I got a rear line from them. It fit perfect and was only $24. The rear line is really the only one you need.

Really? I'd think they are about equally important? Though the rear does supply for two wheels and it has further to go, but the front disks still take most of the abuse/% of the stopping power. Is it because disks are a lot more efficient too?

I was thinking more along the lines of the one in the back needs to be longer after your lifted so you don't pull it apart when flexed. But if you're talking about braking power, then they really won't make it stop faster, they will just make the pedal firmer when braking, well you may stop a couple of feet shorter but it won't be a big difference.

I've heard it both ways Bonito.

The steel lines will give you a firm pedal and better braking with less fade. that's the reason to go braided staninless up front.
