squeaky sound from startup

when i start my truck i get a squeaky sound for about 10 seconds i think it is the fan belt and should i replace it is it easy to do yourself

Look at the belt and see if there is any cracking on the ribs, if there is, replace it. If not, just it is likely the belts just need to be tightened. If you have not changed the belts in quite a while, it may still be worth changing the belt.

definitely a belt.

you can use belt dressing to quiet it till you change it

is it a squeek or a squeal? my pulleys squeek for a few seconds to a couple of minutes (when cold). belts tend to be more of a squeal
