Speaker installation

I just got new Alpine type Rs for the back (5 1/4) and now i feel stupid because they dont fit the brackets and if im gonna fab new ones i could have just gotten 6 1/2 but i got them cheap on ebay so im not that put out. Anyway i lost the C clip for the window crank. where could i get a new one? and any tips on what type of material to use when fabbing the bracket?i was thinking sheet metal but i dont want any annoying vibration intefereing w/ the music. I also have to find a place to put the crossover.

I would recommend MDF for the brackets ... real easy to work with and super cheap at Home Depot/Lowes. Just cut a circle to fit the speakers onto and then screw the brackets to the existing mounting points.

As for the C-clip ... I think I remember seeing them available at Autozone and Pepboy's
