I have to agree, at least on the iridiums. I put some high dollar Denso Platinums in my 3vze and it ran like crap. Replaced with OEM NGK.
Runs like a champ.
My ford comes with OEM Motorcraft platinums and they lasted 100k miles. Good stuff for Fords. I wouldn't put them in my Yota though.

NGK...Copper...
Stock...
Or maybe you would like to buy some super special ultra tonic ice cubes from atop of the biggest glacier in the world, to put in your diet coke, they will make it taste like a pepsi.
Anyway, its just a simple point to make.
Oh yeah, and dont forget to change them every now and again...

I tend to agree. I was just reading in Popular Mechanics how someone stripped the threads in thier block when trying to change a set of "150,000 mile" plugs. They are not made to stay in that long. I run AC Delcos, used to run Bosh Platinums, I'm happy now.

If your car is NA just stick with stock. When i got irdiums in my old 3rz runner i didnt notice much. Id get the stockers. Unless your running an sc than you might have to got iridium.

My family has a racing Porsche 944, and in there we run Denso Iridiums, but only because it provides a better, more developed flame front. In there, it matters, but anywhere else, I'd have to agree with everyone else, go with OEM, it should run fine that way. I tried Iridiums in my 4Runner and it ran pretty badly. So there's my $0.02.

on the newer models "stock" can include iridium and platinum which are produced by NGK. the platinum are considered 60k and the iridium are 90k. Just by the oe plugs for your Rig, whether they are stock copper, stock platinum or stock iridium. Toyota spent a lot of time and $$ developing your ignition system and most "second guessing" of the original design at best reaps only minimal gains. Good luck

Are you using an aftermarket ignition system? I have an MSD on my truck and have to use NGK iridiums because it wears the stock plugs out too quick. Got over 25K miles on the iridiums now w/ plenty of life left. I probably would've gone through a couple sets of plugs w/ that mileage.
