So if 99s and 2000s have taller springs then does a spring lift (TRD or OME) not lift as much as on a 97?

No, they all would lift about the same, the 99s will just sit about 1" higher in stock form.

Jamie, I think the answer is yes as the '99 was already taller. The new lift will get the '97 and '99 to the same height so the lift will provide less to a '99.

Yes, you are correct and I thought I was saying basically the same thing, but maybe I misunderstood the question.
I was referring to the final lift height of all after any swapping.

So, both the front and rear on a 2000 are stock about one inch higher. My concern was that the 2000 had a longer spring on the front to compensate for weight and the rears are all the same. I dont want to install new springs, OME 881-890 and find that the 1.75" in front only gives me .75" and the rears still give me 2.5".

All the spring perches/mounts are in the same location on all 3rd gen 4runners (which is what I think you were trying to ask in the first place). Thus any swaps of springs should show similar final height results across all years. I did the same setup you're mentioning and you will likely get similar results (maybe +/- 0.25"). The only reason the 99s were any different height was because the springs were different, nothing else.

I know that the 2000 has a taller front spring (9 coil spring) but did not know if the backs were taller to match.

If I replace my 4Rnr 97 spring with 99 spring will this give me a 1" lift or not?

my early build 3/00 limited 4wd didn't come with the longer coils...

My 2000 also does not have the longer coils. When parked next to a 99 the 99 is clearly higher.

Yes, it should give you roughly one inch of lift.
