So I wanna lift my 98 2wd...suggestions?
I have a 98 2wd and have been looking at lifts for a while but haven't really been able to find anything besides spacers and shocks.
My ultimate goal is to get to 35's, but seeing as how this is my daily driver that may not be able to happen (I need to keep the fuel economy going for me). Anyone have any suggestions?
Here's a pic of my old 01 Z71 with a 6" Rancho kit not doing its job:

Sorry, my dialup is all sorts of messed up. The pic is too big to attach, but for some reason it still posted this thread anyway.
I made another thread, somebody please lock this for me!!

Well,
I would go with some downey adjustables in the front (0-4" of lift) since you d'nt have any CVs to screw up, you can crank them up to your hearts content. Then get some 3" lift springs and a spacer to bring the azz up (don't forget to extend your brake lines!). Then if your still not satisfied, go with a 2" body lift. I think thats the most body lift thats recomended, but someone correct me if i'm wrong. Good luck!

I'm running 2.5" lift with 285/75 (equal to 33s) with 16x8 rims and I had to trim the inside of my front flare because of rubbing on turns. Didn't see much differance in milage.

Is this for looks mainly?
Id go with Turbodale if you are going to take it offroad, but if its just for looks...
Cheap way: stock 4x4 4Runner springs for 2inches of lift and a 2inch BL = around $150 total. Those springs should be damn easy to find around here. But I dont think 4 inches will get you 35's w/o rub. 33's will be plenty though.

This will be almost totally for looks, I don't plan to do more than hop a couple curbs or drive across a field with my truck.
If I could get 33's on it I would be happy, I just want to be able to get the best ride as possible and be able to run 33's or bigger.

Then just get some OME coils from mike at xtremeoff-road.com/ (I believe mine came to $280). Or if you want to go really cheap, get a spacer lift kit. Thats all you need, check ebay for the spacers. Considering you can run 31s stock, that should be all he needs right?
