smell when accelerating

I have a 95 4runner, 3.0, limited, lovin it, but when I step on the gas, either from off the line or just hitting it while driving, there is a smell that comes from the front, not a smell that I recognize, but this is my first 4runner....
Does anyone know what I am talking about? I know it is not that discriptive, but thats all I got....it does not leak at all, and has no other issues (right now). I have noticed this smell for over a year, never hurt anything, and I 4wheel it ALOT. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Guys,

Here we go again.... https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/smells-up-hill-problem-32980/ from just 3 days ago...

EVery car ever built since catalytic converter law was passed does that.
You young guys don't remember, but in the early years catalytic converters made and abundance of that horrible smell ... they didn't have todays technology and the cars weren't as effecient - hence lots of really bad odor from the cat. (Consider that a typical 70s era V8 was lucky to make 180hp yet only got 12 mpg - the fuel went out the exhaust pipe!) Thats what the cat does, turns hydrocarbons into water vapor and sulphurous odor. You don't notice it much these days because modern engines just burn cleaner anyway, most modern engines wouldn't need a cat to pass smog anymore but the law sez gotta have em. (They should make diesels use em!)
Close your rear window and you won't smell it anymore.
