It depends on where the rotor is going to be used. assuming same thickness and diameter, for trucks in non-racing use, slotted rotors are better because it has more mass to absorb more heat. for lighter vehicles in street use, cross-drilled rotors are better

I have read opinions on this forum that have concluded that slotted or drilled rotors have no significant difference, as the primary function is solely cooling and heat dispersion.

Would blank Brembo rotors provide the same performance as slotted or drilled. Just curious!

Very long story short.

Slotted is best, cross-drilled is for posers.

Cross drilled is for high performance racing only. Anything less sees no benifets.

Slotted helps with outgassing in very hard braking conditions, but offers little to the everyday driver.

Normal rotors are just fine for what we need it for.

For normal street vehicles, quality blank rotors are fine.

Blanks are best. More metal means less chance of fade. Cross-drilled and slotted are gimmicks. Outgassing pads are long gone, as they are from the old school racing era. We don't have issues with gassy pads. Stick to a quality blank rotors (as said above) and some good pads, and you're set.

On my race cars, I only use Duralast blank rotors from Autozone and good pads (Hawk, Axxis, Cobalt, etc.).
