Slight hesitation at take off ?

I have a 2001, 4x4, Exten. cab, 2.7, auto, Tacoma. It has a new air filter, new gas filter, tune up was done less than 5,000 miles back, elbow mod and all fluids are changed and up to par.
When I take off there is a very slight hesitation on the take off. I'm not a lead foot but just drive the way most would call normal. It doesn't matter if I'm in OD or not but if I turn on the ECT the take off it's as smooth as a babys butt. This has been going on for a while and has not gotten any worse or better so I feel it needs a minor adjustment somewhere but don't know what or where. Any ideas as to what it could be or what I should look for ? Thanks , Mike

Their are a few things that could cause that. The throttle body may need cleaning, the fuel injectors may be dirty, or your idle air control valve may be malfunctioning. Do you use generic, or Arco gas?

My gas is the same I have always used which is Go-Mart. It's a big company owned station year in the east. The trottle body was cleaned not long ago along with the air sensor. It idels so smooth you can hardly tell it's running and the engine runs great, no misses or anything like that. I'm going to play with the throttle cables, they have a little slack in them. Thanks for the suggestions. Sure hope it's not the injectors, it only has 75,000 on it. My Chev. Suburbon had 180,000 and never had to touch the injectors on it.
The only thing I haven't replaced yet as far as tune ups go is the PCV valve. Guess it can't hurt to replace it while I'm at it. Mike

Just an update in case anyone else has this problem. It was the throttle cable. Took usp the slack and it runs and acts like new! Easy fix, thank God, Lol. Mike

Man what a difference! I adjusted the throttle cable cleaned MAF Sensor, and installed new NGK's. Feels like going from a Big Wheel to a Dragster!
