Skid Plates on a 1999 SR5 4Runner

Howdy folks. I have a questions regarding skid plates on a stock 1999 SR5 4 Runner. Is there suppose to be a skid plate that follows right after the front plate that covers the oil pan area? This plate would cover the area from the front skid plate to the crossmember by the transfercase. If so, is this a stock item that would have come with the vehicle? Thanks for your feedback.

Yes there is a skid that covers the oil pan, the 4Runner skids are a two peice system. Are you asking this because you don't have a second peice? Good luck finding it, and if your in the market for new ones, go straight to Bud Built, top notch stuff made by a top notch guy.

How about deleting the other thread you made with the same subject.

Thanks. I'm asking because I took it in for an oil change and timing belt change. I heard a clanking noise when reversing (although this is not all the time). When I looked under my 4Runner, it looked different. So I am wondering if they forgot to put it back. I have the front part of the skid plate that curves and the looks like the second part of the plate is right under the engine. But there isn't a skid plate that cover the oilpan area. Might you have a picture that will show the skid plate.

its a 2 piece setup, and the 2nd piece ends just below the steering rack. if you want something that goes to the tcase..you'd have to go full belly setup from budbuilt.

the clunking should have nothing to do with the skid plate while your in reverse.
