I was wondering if someone else has had experience with this. I have a factory alarm (94 4Runner) and the siren no longer works. If it does, it's very faint that you could barely hear it. The alarm was disabled by the previous owner 2 years ago because they said the on/off chirp was too loud but it was working. When I enabled it, I checked and everything seems to work from the passive arming and automatically locking the doors, to the lights flashing when the alarm has been set off. But the siren, well, I can't hear it.
If I replace the alarm's horn, will this fix the problem? Or maybe I just have to clean the horn since it hasn't been used for a while (maybe something crawled in it and died) :alien: ?
If anyone knows where I can begin to fix this would be great.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
