Simple spark plug wire question

Good day - I went to Kragen yesterday to purchase a new set of spark plug wires, and it only comes with as a set of 3 wires? I was a little bit baffled (1st replacement for my 3rd gen 4runner). I replaced my plugs approx 20K ago, so they should be clean.

Does the ignition coil side have to be replaced as well? Or do I simply replace the 3 wires on the "non-coil" side?

Also, I recently failed smog, so I wanted to know if replacing my wires as part of tune-up will actually help me pass my smog? I've seafoam-ed the hell out of my system, thx to some threads here @ Yotatech.

Thx!

take them back!

it sounds to me like some one took the other 3 wires and the coil wire out of the pack, if you have a V6 there should be 6 wires, and if its a 3.0 a coil wire.... I say take them back and let them know...

It is 3 wires. Start hooking them to the coil packs at the passenger side. And connect them to the 3 cylinder holes in the driver side. Thats all. God bless coil packs.

Kevin - Thx for responding. I did some research online, and it looks like they sell the coiled wires seperately? However, Kragens & Napa only sells the "non-coiled" wires? Do you know if I need to replace the coiled wires. I would assume yes I would have to...

No just the wires. The coils are more of a almost nearly maintainence free item.
