Signs of worn ball joint?

I have this clunking sound (sometimes just a clicking sound) coming from my passenger side suspension when I hit a rock or a bump with that tire only. I kind of suspected one of the ball joints, I looked it over and I really can't tell.
Does it sound like that may be my problem?
Thanks,
Bryan

It could also be a bad bushing or a loose bolt somewhere too. Check the upper and lower control arm bushings, shock bolts and bushings as well as the ball joints.

Lift the front end off the ground and start working the tires from top to bottom and side to side looking for loose parts or worn bushings. You should not feel any play when you grab the top and bottom of the tire and pull in & out. Also look for the boots oozing grease. That is a sign of a noisy bj. i just replaced mine with the help of a good buddy.
