Shuddering at stops ?

2001 4Runner 2WD - Automatic (no other choice that year >)
Wife says the truck 'shudders' occasionally at stop lights. I only drive it about once a week and cannot replicate the problem.
I replaced the plugs at aprox 40k miles and fuel filter at aprox 45k miles. Now at 55k miles. The first thing that comes to mind for me is a problem I have had with GM cars which was the transmission soleniod. I have been religious about the trans fluid. Drain and refills aprox every 2 1/2 years.
Any thoughts ?

I've just recently bought a 1995.5 Tacoma and it has the same problem...idk what to do either

in my old 96 4runner i had the same problem, and it shuddered at idle sometimes. The problem for me was dirty injectors but on a truck that new i dont think that would be the problem unless you ran some watery gas
