Should I get a Lund Visor?

I have not been able to make up my mind on if I should get one of these. Ive seen them before and once on a 4runner that looked good. Your thoughts?http://www.lundlook.com/products/visors/1_sunvisor.html

Where I grew up, trucks had them on even in the 60's and 70's... and I still think, with the right truck, they look cool. There was an explosion of them with the ridiculous slammed-to-the-weeds mini-truck phase that made them less a credible mod. We have that whole genre of trucks to thank for ruining a lot of stuff.

But, anyway, I think it would look good on your ride, Blue.

I wouldnt put one on a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gen runner. I think they are all to rounded for them. Ive got one on my box of a K5, and it looks decent, the only real function it adds is that i dont have to scrape my windsheild in the morning. But on a runner? Its your rig, but remember that once its on, if you dont like it or it gets ripped off while wheeling, you have a bunch of holes in your roof.

Ahhhhhh! Don't do it!

Every mexican and redneck I see has one of tose on their beat up crap piles. You can tell at one point the truck was nice, but now they use them as work trucks because they look hideous with those big rollover shovels.

Save the money for a winch or bumper or something.

As far as exterior mods go, I'm still undecided about the windshield visor. I think they look good on some trucks, like the older F-350s and any over the road rigs like Peterbilts or Kenworths, but on some other rides, they just don't do the vehicle any justice.

Blue, there is a lund "moonvisor" on my 1990 SR5 (which was on it when I bought back in the day). My 90 is about the same color as your 4runner, so I can scan a picture and send it your way if you're interested in how it might look.

The only vehicles that I have ever seen those on are low-rider trucks with wheels sticking out 2 feet and every extra crome and plastic piece possible stuck on it. I say go for it, then all you need is some 12" gold spoke Daytons.
