Well it's been about 2 weeks now since I left my '93' 4Runner V6 at the Dealer. The verdict is that it has 2 bad exhaust valves.
The machine shop took its time in diagnosing (sp) the problem, and waited until late friday to let the Service dept. know that they had to order the valves. ![]() So now I have to go without my baby until Monday or Tuesday, as long as the valves come in early Monday morning. ![]() Total estimated cost so far is $1701 without tax, Pa is 6%. 2 weeks of the shop manager blowing smoke up my ass telling me that it should only take a few days to fix, a week at the most. Yeah right! Wait, after I pay the friggin bill, a few letters will go out to the BBB and the Toyota Headquarters. Hell, I'll even write the local paper to bitch about the broken promises. Next time I WILL do the wrenching myself! All I need is a few more tools, and TIME. Picked up a Red top Optima and some Husky mats for her welcome home party too!!! :bounce2: So we'll see what happens MONDAY, till then have a good weekend people!!! |
