Shocks ans Coil
Hi to all,
Well, i search 4 shocks and coil with + 2cm about original. I search to a good and no expensive customer in US, cause i'm french and the port is expensive for me. In france, the V6 4runner is not for sale, and i'm "only" one i have a 3vze 1992.
Can you help me for that, but not RS9000 rancho cause the last after 15 days in the desert tunisia are bad.
Another question : I want to make a engine oil cooler in the front of my car with a radiator without a second pomp. do you ansdestand what i say...

Welcome to yotatech.....
My interpretation is that he's looking for shocks and coil springs that will cure is sag. He doesn't want the Rancho's though cuz they don't last in the desert...It also sounds like he's in search of a Tranny Cooler.....
Maybe some links to PP, Downey, and OME will help him.....guys I know you have all the links
Got kinda lost about the part about the port costs, but I assume he means that shipping is expensive...
Does anyone remember from the outdoorwire days about the 2nd Gen owner (I think he was from France too) who used to run in the desert a lot? Maybe a link to that guys page will help.....

Ok, help me all for good link, and a total "kit" : coil, shocks and other for 2" or 3".
I work (for fun) on a data logger in the 4x4 with a toshiba libretto. Engine temp with pt1000 and thermocouple k.. etc..

If you use the search feature here too, you will find tons of posts here for 2nd gen 4Runners that have the infamous sag in the rear.
Most all of us have replaced our saggy stock coils with aftermarket ones.
The top three are Downey HDs, Performance Products, and Old Man Emu.
Each will raise you back up about 2" or more depending on how bad the sag was to begin with.
I got 2" plus out of my Downey HD coils.
A popular choice of shocks for these rigs are the Bilstein and Edelbrocks.
I personally run the Edelbrocks and dig 'em
Here is a pic of my rig the way it sits with 31" tires, the Downey coils, and SAW T bars up front cranked up a tad to handle the weight of an ARB bumper and Warn XD 9000 winch.

If you are only looking for 2cm lift there is a Company in Germany called H&R Springs that makes these coils for a 1992 4Runner:
These are marketed by Performance Products here in the U.S. but they are made in Germany. Maybe you can contact the H&R Factory in Germany and buy them directly to save on shipping costs.
I would match them to a set of Bilstein Shocks for both the front and rear for a superior ride.
Since a lot of Bilstein shocks are made either in Germany or here in the U.S. maybe you can contact a Bilstein dealer in Germany and buy them directly as well.
This combination will provide you with approximately 1" (2.54cm) of lift for the rear. On the front you will have to crank up your T Bars as Corey already stated in the above post.
Here is a list of other lift kits that will work for your 1992 4Runner, but they are expensive and shipping would be costly as well:

Ricou was also interested in knowing where the oil cooler is located on the 2nd gens. He wanted to upgrade it and was wondering if anyone had added a larger one?
