SHHH noise from engine with quick accel.?
When I do a quick blast with the accelerator I hear a somewhat loud shhhh like a blast of compressed air in the engine block. Under normal acceleration it seems fine. It's when I hit the gas quick it kinda stutters and then the gas kicks in and when I do it even faster is when I hear the air sound. Thinking maybe fuel filter or injectors, but not really sure. Any ideas?

I would check all vacuum lines under the hood (there aren't that many) from the diagram under the hood.
Maybe someone else will have some suggestions........
You don't have a supercharger do you?

possible vacuum leak, but you would also have an abnormal high idle speed as well...
Check your intake boot(between MAF and throttlebody) very closely for cracks and loose clamps..take it off and inspect for cracks if you have to....when you accel the torque of the engine can possibly be pulling and opening up a crack in the intake boot? Its a guess...

Not necessarily; many compensate for a vacuum-induced high idle by reducing the idle...
It could also be an intake crack, but you'd probably have a miss associated with that. Did you add a ricer intake lately??
