Serious Lift Question
I put a Daystar spacer lift and 285-75-16's on my 96 runner....
The fact that it is my daily driver and does what i need it to do on the trails i am for the most part happy with it. But, every now and then i get the tires to rub in the fenders, and i am trying to decide how to lift it another 1-2 inches to rid myself of the rub.
My runner is 10 years old and has 150k or so on it so replacing all four springs and front struts is prolly a good idea(replaced rear shocks when spacer lift was installed). So replacing them with something that will give me 1-2 inches is what i'm hoping to do. I know a 2 inch body lift would do what i need but i don't really want to do that when i know i could use new springs anyways.
I was thinking of doing the Performance Products springs and with a new set of struts in the front. But, i was told that the PP springs don't sit level and would not ride good with the preload part of the spacer lift.
cost of that is around $500 which sounds like i could fit it in my budget.
My other idea is doing tundra coils and OME or LC's in the rear. But i'm not sure how much i would gain with that over the spacer lift, or even with keeping the spacer lift in. I know that i would have to find those used to stay in my $500 budget range.
Just wondering on what some of you guys have tried and experienced with this stuff.
Thanks
Tron

you will gain a ton of performance over the spacers by using the tundra/lc setup. might not lift it much more but the ride and performance will be a huge gain.
