Seat swap or cover
I am looking for an in expensive solution for either replacing my front seats or adding some padding. These '95 cloth gray bucket seats have had a long life and now are feeling thin.
I am spending no more than 300 USD to fix this situation
My research shows upholstered seats run from 250 to 350 USD for each seats. About the same cast as custom seats
without the seat brackets. The seat brackets run from 80-120 USD each.
The seat covers I have seen on Ebay and www.performanceproducts.com are kind of cheap looking.
I was considering seat swaps from other makes and models. I didn't want a Honda or Celica seat. Wanted something a little wider
The front seat dimensions are about 51 inches wide and about 38 inches tall.
Any construtive ideas? Has any one done a seat swap with Volvo or another make?

I've done a seat swap with a ford escape. I got electric leather seats in my truck now. I had to take the mounting brackets off of the old seats and engineer them to the escape seats (some drilling and tapping) but they look nice and are very comfortable. Mostly just takes some thinking and time.
