Does any body have pics of 4 inches of lift with 265s only. I am close to getting 3inch lift with 1inch body but i have to run 265s BFG because they are brand new, tits still on them. They will last damn nearf forever soit will be awhile before i go to 285s. i hate to try and sell what i got to buy new to much of a hassle.

i don't know what that would look like, but...

an idea about the tires. i'd say run them on your truck for a year or so while saving some money (i know it's hard ), then buy your 285s and sell your not new but still good tread life left 265s on craigslist or something to get some extra cash. kind of like cars, if you went to trade in a new car they wouldn't give you jack, but if you drove it for awhile and got some use out of it and then traded it, you'd get more use and you wouldn't mind the money part since it was now truly "used". i sold some of my old tires locally after i got my BFGs and made $150 on tires that had about 1/3 of their tread left.

my $.02, just run them for a little while and save, then upgrade and sell the old. good luck!

its a lot more noticable in person. but its not horriable. it gives it a super tall look with the wheel wells not so full. not that bad looking. but the 33's make a big differance.

Yeah, i think i can make it work. I still habe my runnin boards on also that should help alittle. I like more space than stuffed up in the Fwells. I am gonna have to run it for awhile with 265s, too bad they are just a bit big for my VW,or it would be gettin some new bfg 265 on it.

I agree, it's not too bad with 265's, but you'll be much happier with the 285's

Another option is some places will give you a credit for trading in your tires towards a new set. When I bought my 85 it had 285's on it and it sucked balls driving it down the highway. I wasn't crawlin this truck so I took it in to see about swapping tires. They gave me $40 each as a trade in credit towards my 31's.

I have 3" lift and I think my tires look too small at times so I really don't know about the 4" lift. I can post some pics later but I would go with the 285s if possible. I just wanted to compromise with the gas mileage and what not so that why I went with those.
