SCORE!

I am keeping my eye out for one of these. I almost gave up and bought some Lev-O-Gauges today.
Thanks for rekindling my fire!
Want to sell them?

Birdman,

Heh heh...cool Hey, I just finished modifying mine this weekend to fit into my DIN slot . I've put this one off for a looong time. There's some minor trimming I still need to do, but its 98% done.

This was the last pic I took before my trusty Kodak DC280 gave up the ghost. I followed Wild Bill's modifications but I fiberglassed some sides to it to prevent dust from accumulating in there. Also, I used some plastic putty so that you can screw into the unit. Lastly, I painted it black so it has a nice OEM look to it.

If you're planning to do the same, I'll have the write up done w/ pics when I get our new Canon A80 digital camera this week. I'm shooting for Wed or Thursday.

Interesting idea. I look forward to your writeup, although I'm not sure I wanna hack this one up. I think I might get lynched if I did that.

Birdman,

A few guys mounted it on their 2nd and 3rd gen dashboards. The problem is that, unlike the 1st gens, the dashboard is curved. When you stick that thing on, its at an angle and it sits REALLY high. Thus, you'll have to make a platform to level it out.

Anyways, great score.

Remember now, this is from a 1992 Surf. They too had curved dashes. I'll know better when I get it but I figured I'd have to make some kind of mount anyway.
