I'm happy. I just got some returned Hellas from Pep Boys for $30.

They were returned only a few minutes before I saw them, I guess, since they were still sitting on the counter. I asked if they were for sale and the guy said the person that returned them said that they didn't work, and that if I wanted em, he'd give them to me for $30. He said I couldn't return them if they didn't work, but I told him I'm not very wealthy, infact I'm quite poor, so he said I could return them, since I can do a lot with $30.

I took them out of the box in the parking lot, and opened my hood, and touched the wires to their respective battery posts, and was blinded. (I forgot that they were really bright lights in my hands.) Both worked perfectly. I don't know if the guy that returned them was on crack, but hey, I got 2 Hellas with all of the mounting and connectors I need to hook them up, for $30. Works out for me.

Now all I need is to figure out where to mount them.

Now I'll make this intercative- Ever got a great deal on something like this?

Chris

Nice find! They type of light they are would determine the best place for you to place them. Or just wherever you need more light!

Oh, thay are the lights at the very top of this page: http://www.industryfigure.com/berkel...lightmount.htm

The ones with the black and white plastic covers.

I have no aftermarket bumper or anything, completely stock, so I'm brainstorming.

You don't need something to mount them to... I put them on my stock bumper. If you want a write-up, check out waskillywabbit's site at http://www.drawhorn.org

The website says "Coming Soon!"

Did you have to drill any holes in your bumper? That's what I'm concerned about. I would have mounted them yesterday when I got them, but I don't want to have to drill holes in my bumper. If I took them off, or relocated them, in the future, the holes would look pretty ugly.

Your lights do look like a damn clean install, though. Nice job.

Good for you, Chris! It's nice when something works out like that, isn't it? Especially at Christmas!

I'd just mount them on your new TJM bull bar that's bound to be under the tree. That way you don't have to drill any holes!

I'm in the process of uploading to a new host, just as soon as I can get the dang thing to work , but drilling holes in the bumper is no big deal. If you ever have to take the Hellas off you can just fill the hole with an OEM grommet. Bamachem did that when he sold the white one and got the red one and the grommets looked like they belonged there. Don't sweat drilling the holes! I do have a write-up on my site, as soon as I can get it back working again.....
