to make a long story short, i dont have one right now.

anyone know where i can get one other than SAW? i tried them, but of course theyre a real PITA to deal with.

can someone make one that is stronger than the SAW one?

the first one i got from SAW broke during adjustment.

not sure if they would sell you one, but downey includes one in their kit. I would give them a call, and see if they could sell you one.

Ryan why don't you just call Mike and see if he's got any spare ones laying around. I wish they would build those things stronger too. My POS bent but it isn't broken yet.

Is SAWs are such a PITA to deal with, I've heard this several times before, why do people keep buying their stuff? There are several other types of coilovers, Dotsch and Downey are two that I know of, why are SAWs so much better? If you have the broken one tool, I would imagine any fab shop worth a crap could build you one easily, but I bet it would be costly. But if you can't adjust them when you need to, they aren't much use are they?

Bought my SAW's used...no spanner either.

I took mine into "Big O" Tires (Are they National?), the guy in the bay put those bad boys on a spring compressor and spun them up with a good ole pair of channel locks. PRESTO! Done. Took me all 10 minutes to put them back on my truck and both sides measured just right.

I HIGHLY recommend taking them down to a shop with a spring compressor. Even with the spanner it it a royal pain in the Arse to dial them up when the spring is loaded. Just my .02.

I got them to adjust my Donahoe coilovers on my Tundra. They're beefy and will last a long time. It is not a thin piece of steel. It has the feel and weight of a Cresecent wrench...easy on the hands too. I got part # 5472A5.

I bent my spanner to ˟˟˟˟e when i was adjusting my second coilover, bent it back enopugh to finsh the job, nice to know the replacements aren't to expensive...

mine broke the first time I tried to use it. which sucks because now one side is different from the other and there's no way to fix it.

i'll probably order a strap wrench ... some other sites mentioned it as a good way to adjust coilovers if the spanner wrench breaks or is lost.

(yes, i know this is an old thread, but i figured better to add to it than start a new one based on the same exact issue)

I'm sure the problem was resolved long ago, but camburg was happy to sell me a spanner when I ordered a rebuild kit for the SAWS (and I happily included the spanner when I sold the SAWS 2 months later....)
